Love you all!!! Remember, READ! READ! READ!!!!!!

Being the top lower grade readers in the school had a great reward! Donuts in the morning and pizza in the afternoon. See kids? Reading does pay off!

What an amazing day! I love that our school is so dedicated to the Jazz reading contest. I love seeing how excited the kids get to meet the players.

This year our surprise guest was CJ Miles. He read to us, answered our questions, and then showed off his skills.

But the fun wasn't over! We also got to enjoy some Russell's ice cream! YUM! YUM! YUM!!

It takes a lot of work to make a collage. (Which is why our class only does it once or twice a year!)

Step 1: Using tempra paint, we went crazy creating "pretty paper" to be cut up and used later in our collages.

Yes. There was paint EVERYWHERE! Cohen even had it all over his glasses.

I love this part of the project because it's just so free! Painting however they want without rules.

Step 2: Let the pretty paper dry. Come up with a collage plan. Sketch the animal you are going to try to create. Use basic shapes.

Step 3: Find colors and textures to fit your sketch.

Step 4: Start cutting!
