A Peak at Our Trip to The Peak

The Peak, The Peak!
How we love thee!

That's right! We love The Peak! We spent two hours totally enjoying ourselves and practicing healthy habits. I loved seeing the kids let loose and have fun. I was so proud of all our students for maintaining their good manners! The Peak always compliments our school for having such nice students. Take a look at some of the fun we had!

My favorite quote of the day...
"I am so excited for our field trip that I couldn't sleep last night!"
-Reagan Cockerham

Some kids were the most excited for the bus ride! (Go figure?)
Breah, Eliza, and Payton
BFF's McCall and Elise
Adi and Alivia
My most serious students...
Livia, Jaycee, and Hallie
Blake and Conner
Isaac and Victoria
Dawsy, Easty, and Jacksy
(That is what they have been calling themselves...)
Hollie and Cohen
My cool dudes...
Diego, Sam, and Jaron
Jake, Kali, and Mikayla
Reagan and Ryan
And the lovely Mrs. Bybee
Here is where the fun really begins...

Waiting for their turn at the obstacle course.

Listening carefully to the instructions for "Healthy Choice" tag on the bouncy green mat!

Diego in mid-obstacle course
Red light, green light crab style

And just because my camera died, don't think that the fun did! There was Twister on a big blow up mat. The Peak had a jungle gym complete with zip line. And my favorite activity of all was jumping from the trampoline into the foam pit! (Mrs. Bybee and I camped out on the side and aimed foam cubes at unsuspecting students! A little retribution for the teachers!)

The fun never stopped! Thanks for your contributions to our field trip. I know this will not be something that the kids will soon forget!

Pumpkin Math

Pumpkins make awesome math tools. We used our little pumpkins to do all sorts of math activities.

Here's Payton doing a "Scientific Drawing" of her pumpkin. We made sure to include labels on our drawings.
Will a pumpkin float? Almost all of the students predicted that it would sink. Surprise, surprise!

How much do pumpkins weigh? Connor is testing his out.
How many paper clips around is a pumpkin? Reagan is measuring.
McCall and Elise are working to see how many cubes tall their pumpkins are.

And just for fun...we had a contest to see who could balance their pumpkin on their head and walk!
